Hello Friends

April has come & gone here at TTF and we thought it would be a good idea to get Bob our Head Bailiff’s perspective of our season thus far.

 

'April 2024 has seen some good fishing here despite the rain and bitter North winds on many occasions.  Not surprisingly, the reservoir water level is high, water is clear and the fish are well spread throughout the reservoir. 

Our regular stockings have gone well with browns and rainbows going in.

Several browns of over 4lbs have been caught as well as our over wintered rainbows of similar size. 

We now have 5 boats and hopefully the old green boat will reappear sometime this summer. 

We have had the pleasure of welcoming members old & new and day ticket guests throughout our opening month.  …Thank You All.’

Additionally, we also welcomed a group from one of our local companies that had a late Christmas party fishing on a rare day of fair weather.

Tactics vary depending on the conditions. Buzzers fished deep still the popular choice however recently we’ve had reports of success fishing shipmans & top hats in the late afternoon.
